Matching Paddles

This weekend I hung the walnut paddles I made to go along with Cheemaun #2. They were specifically made to match the decks, seat frames, and thwarts all made of the same walnut. The hanging brackets were cut out of smaller waste pieces. (Click  to enlarge.)

Getting Close

#2 Delivered

The second Cheemaun off my form is now proudly displayed in the foyer of a dear friend’s house down at Lake Martin, Alabama.  I made the mounting brackets to match the trim of the boat (and make sure nobody decided to run screws through the hull into the wall).
