The warmth of the sun, a nice breeze, and an arm workout all rolled into one!
I wasn’t happy with the final coat of Kirby’s enamel on the Guide, it was the first time I had used their paint and I didn’t thin it enough resulting in overlap marks where it didn’t flow out properly.
If the paint starts to flash over too fast you get overlap marks like this. All part of learning what works and what doesn’t. I’ve used Kirby’s since this boat and gotten a better feel for their paint so it’s time to sand her down and re-apply a finish coat. I couldn’t let her go down to the lake with a flawed paint job!
