The mahogany outwales have been repaired and installed on the 50 lb after receiving a sealer coat on the back side. I also repaired 3 of the seat bolt holes where the bolt heads had worked their way down into the spruce inwales crushing some of the wood fibers. This created potential weak spots and areas for rot to start so I treated them with epoxy to both stabilize and build up the indentations. After sanding and re-drilling the holes I taped off the hull to rail seam and put a coat of varnish on the rails and decks.
