Installing the stem bands is always a test of nerves. You would think it would be simple to just follow the stem drilling holes as you go but once you get up on the bottom you start to question “Am I on center?” The last thing you want is to miss the stem!
Another happy delivery! This boat was a retirement present and I got to meet the granddaughters who will enjoy it along with their proud grandfather. I hope they enjoy and learn as much from it as my brother and I did from the old boat we grew up with. That’s the real satisfaction in building these boats.
