She finally floated yesterday after her extensive overhaul. With a new lease on life, water once again lapping at her hull, she slid quietly across the golden water – her soul released from the decay of age. Over half her wood is new but the old ribs and planking that remain still bear the stories of rescuing livestock from the flooded James River in Virginia and countless other adventures.
